Carboscan                        

CARBOSCAN COMPACT 300/350 and CARBOSCAN 150, UNISENSOR delivers a system for the online process control of CO2 that is unique in the world. The CO2 gas is tested for impurities every nine seconds. Test results are then displayed and stored in a database. Even the slightest contaminations can be detected selectively, e.g. 4 ppb respectively 2 ppb (parts per billion) of benzene.

The system is completely integrated with the customer’s facility. Thanks to the compact and modular design, the CARBOSCAN COMPACT 300/350 system can be installed and be in operation within a short space of time.

The VISU station helps the customer to visualize or print current and historical data.

Aquascreen

The Aquascreen enables contaminant detection for refillable gallon containers and thus rules out the cleansing and refill of contaminated containers.  Consequently, Aquascreen offers the possibility to comprehensively analyze refillable water containers in accordance with the requirements of state-of-the –art quality assurance processes.  A most efficient sample-talking system guarantees top level sensitivity even for high analysis rates of up to 3.000 containers/hour.  The detection limit for contaminants ranges in the lower ppm area.  Therefore, even tiniest traces of contaminants can be identified.

The economic viability and quality of plastic recycling is highly dependent on the efficient and reliable removal of impurities.

POWERSORT 200 uses a patented measuring procedure, based on high-speed laser spectroscopy. By referring to an impurities spectrum, i.e. its physical “fingerprint”.

POWERSORT 200 is able to detect and separate unwanted flakes from the product flow.

Up to 1,000,000 spectra are recorded and evaluated every second.

Depending on the type of impurity, separation levels of 98% and above can be achieved with a minimal loss of product. Unknown materials can also be separated using positive detection.

Optoscan 150 is the only system that allows for exact measurement and control of the additive concentration in printing with or without alcohol.

During the printing process, Optoscan 150 continuously measures the additive contcentration and by precise control – causes the actual value to correspond to the set value.  This procedure ensures a constant additive concentration despite fluctuations in the operating status of the printing machine and varying printing orders.

Changes of the gas concentration in the transformer oil can be detected at an early stage through continuous monitoring.  The measuring principle of Selecta 200 is based on the fact that every gas that is absorbable in the infrared range has a characteristic spectrum by which it can be uniquely identified.  Measurement starts with an oil sample that is taken from the transformer and degassed.  The resulting gas sample is examined with IR light and the spectrum is mapped on a semi-conductor sensor array.  The sensor system transforms the spectrum into electronic signals that are proportional to the gas concentration and/or the intensity of light. These signals are then amplified, converted analogously/digitally, and transferred to a PC to determine the concentration.  Selecta 200 allows unique identification of gas samples and the analysis in terms of quantity and quality.  The detection limit amounts to several ppm (volume gas/ volume oil).  All measuring data can be visualized via the Windows-based user interface of the PC.  Alarm thresholds can be defined for gas concentration values and their respective rate of increase.  A total of three thresholds can be configured for each component to be monitored.  If these thresholds are exceeded, potential-free contacts are set, and different warning messages are generated simultaneously, eg, SMS, email, etc

  • Thanks to online-monitoring, the transformer can be used longer in the system in a controlled fashion if the operating behavior is changed by the controller.
  • In case of error, the failure is subject to documentation, eg. Increase of gas rates.
  • The condition of the transformer can be assessed at any time using the analysis values.
  • Maintenance and repair can be initiated in a timely fashion through early identification of changes in the gas concentration.
  • Additional oil analyses in the lab are not necessary.
  • Since three thresholds can be defined for each component to be monitored, the operator will receive detailed information about the transformer condition.
